Italian lighting brand NEMO has recently taken the next step in its international development with the opening of their first showroom in France. Located in the heart of beautiful Parisian district of Saint-Germain-des-Près, an area where upscale contemporary furniture and lighting has always held a special place. Featuring a stunning Art Deco aesthetic designed by NEMO favourite interior designer Charles Kalpakian (3tubes, Wall Shadows, and more), the new showroom exudes special identity of this new space and defines the essential character of the NEMO brand.

Within the gallery, the architect envisioned three distinct interior spaces distributed on a single plain. At the entrance a thoughtful selection of novelties and iconic models captures the NEMO brand philosophy and immediately highlights what NEMO brings to the lighting design space. Upscale NEMO products intended for indoor and outdoor use are prominently displayed in the two remaining spaces.

The gallery interior evokes a unique rhythm with vertical panels exploiting the harmony of transparency and colour. Panels in half tints were specially designed to provide a vivid showplace for NEMO’s wall lamps. Additionally, the main entrance utilizes transparency and opacity to create a welcome area configured around in installation of classic Le Corbusier fixtures.

Charles Kalpakian also designed a colourful indoor garden which livens up the rear of the gallery with illuminated la Grande Borne concrete. A floor of terrazzo set by blue glass and marble perfectly complements a bright pink and blue ocean display which adorns the walls. The luminous display area is designed to capture the effect of the hall in a Parisian apartment from the doors to the indoor garden area.

An artfully selected collection of NEMO lamps provides the final accents to the new showroom, providing both the colour and texture.
