Marco Zito
Born 1966, Marco Zito graduated under Vittorio Gregotti at the IUAV in 1994. Since 1996, he has taught Industrial Design in the Faculty of Design and Arts of IUAV Venice. Additionally, Marco has also been a guest lecturer at the Industrial Design Centre of Montevideo (Uruguay), at San Marco Centre of Kigali (Rwanda), and IMC – Industrial Modernisation Centre of Cairo, (Egypt).
Outside teaching, Marco leads a studio in Venice that specializes in product design, interior design and architecture. Through his studio, Zito researches themes, technologies and types of products, from the Olivetti experience to the design of the interface.
The studio also provides consultation services and has engaged in numerous long-term collaborations with international companies. His projects have received numerous international awards and recognitions. Multiple selections within the ADI Index.
Zito is a staunch advocate of Italian design. According to Zito, the “first steps” in industrial design begin in Murano, in the world of blown glass.
