Mario Barbaglia

Mario Barbaglia was born in Milan in 1950, he graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic, where he was a pupil of Paolo Portoghesi. In 1975 he opened an office with Marco Colombo they remained partners until 1999 which initially focused on interior design projects for commercial areas. In 1984, the office started working with PAF, which was later to become Italiana Luce. The Dove table lamp and other innovative products were the result of this experience. Various objects by Barbaglia have received international prizes and are to be found in the collections of such major museums as the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York, the Muse des Arts Dcoratifs in Paris and the Rufino Tamajo Museum in Mexico City.
