Star Jasmine Residence
In the leafy suburb of Strathfield, Matic by Design have recently completed a residential project showcasing thoughtful lighting design to elevate the architectural form and function of the property.

A Grand Atrium Moment

The multi-storey atrium is a dramatic focal point. Here, the Dresscode wall light by Rotaliana which is inspired by the pleated form of a classic lampshade, provides  sculptural reference to the fluted wall panelling in the space. Discreet LED Strip lighting lines the skylight allowing day to flow into night seamlessly.

A Kitchen That Breathes

Natural light is the hero of this kitchen. A full-height glass splashback opens the space to lush greenery, inviting the outdoors in while maintaining privacy. This clever design floods the room with indirect sunlight, creating a calm, ambient glow throughout the day.

The curved edges of kitchen island soften the strong linear elements of the cabinetry and granite flooring. Above it, the Mumu pendant by Seed Design again provides reference to the curved linear forms whilst also adding a refined touch. Its minimalist metal body and timber accents also echo the kitchen’s material palette—cool stone, warm wood, and matte black finishes. The pendant’s clean lines and natural textures make it a seamless fit for this contemporary space.

Lighting That Complements, Not Competes

Each lighting choice in this project was made to enhance the architecture, not overpower it. From the subtle glow of the LED strip to the sculptural presence of the Dresscode wall light, Mondoluce’s curated selection of designer lighting brings this home to life.
