New Zealand lighting brand David Trubridge Ltd was formed in 1995 when David transformed his operation from small designer/maker business to a design and manufacturing company acclaimed across the globe.

Trubridge has had a long-standing passion for the environment, deepened by his time at sea during the 1980s, where he and his family sailed around the world. All aspects of design and production are guided by the company’s staunch environmentally conscious philosophy, with sustainability being first consideration before profits. Wherever possible, all timber is from sustainably managed plantations in New Zealand, or the United States. The wood is left natural where pertinent, with natural non-toxic oils being used in place of harmful solvents. From a design perspective, the products use only the minimal amount of materials and are created with focus on a timeless design aesthetic.
