Stone is defined by almost sculptured volumes, where the lightness of mouth blown glass is opposed to the solidity of linear geometries. The pendant is comprised of two distinct pieces: a central bulb holder enclosed in opaque glass for maximum refraction of light; and a transparent diffuser, forming a single composition. The overlapping of the two glass shades produces a new color gradation that can not be achieved otherwise. Available in crystal or smoke finish. Stone was awarded a GOOD DESIGN AWARD by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in 2017.
Hangar Design GroupEstablished in 1980, Hangar Design Group is a multidisciplinary design and communication firm. The interpretation of design as an omnipresent, pervasive dimension of each and every item, be it architectonic, material or digital, has led them to experiment, crossing-over into the territory of graphics, industrial design, interior and web architecture and multimedia design, creating products that were awarded with several prizes (Eulda Award 2006, Neocon Innovation Award 2007, Red Dot Design Award 2009, Italy of Innovation Expo Shanghai 2010, Compasso d’Oro 2011).
