Bird Table Lamp
Uniquely designed table lamp in extruded aluminum with T-shaped support in polymer filled with glass fibers. From the mind of German designer Bernhard Osann, Bird is composed of a protruding matte black painted arm where the light source is located and a vertical brass counterweight. The lamp placed freely on the edge of a surface, oscillates and moves but always returns to the horizontal position. The LED module incorporated in the arm rotates around its own axis, making the lamp versatile and providing diffused direct and indirect lighting. Switching on and touch dimming through a proximity sensor. (*plinth not included)
Bernhard OsannBernhard Osann runs his design studio in Hamburg where he designs primarily lights and furniture. Osann graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg.
Before becoming a designer, Osann completed an apprenticeship as joiner and attended a school for sculpture which influenced his basic priciples of design.
Osann plays with physical laws and geometrical shapes to find new unconventional solutions to simplify objects. The results are minimalistic dynamic constructions that move, invite you to be moved and interact with space.
Osann has produced a number of unique works with NEMO, including the Bird table table lamp which embodies Osann's fascination with physics and geometry.
